Company history

CareGo was founded in 1999 as a steel warehousing company called Steelcare. We rapidly expanded into related services, including truck transport, general distribution and transloading, and became Canada’s largest steel transloading facility. In 2012 the six related companies re-branded under the name CareGo (the innovators).

The company developed optimization and automation software to make its own facilities run more cost effectively and efficiently.  The commercialization of this technology, now known as TELIA, took the company in a new direction. Today, our patented optimization tools are attracting world-wide interest.

In 2014, CareGo celebrated its 15th anniversary. A company history has been published, “From a sketch on a napkin: The story of CareGo.”

In 2015, the distribution part of the business was sold to Canadian Pacific Railway, allowing CareGo to focus exclusively on the development and marketing of its technology. Our headquarters have moved from Hamilton to Burlington, Ontario.
