Once again, CareGo has been named a finalist in the category of “Information Technology Services (Software) Provider of the Year” in American Metal Markets’ annual Awards for Steel Excellence competition.
Information technology was the most competitive category this year with 7 strong candidates who scored a 4.0 or higher (out of 5.0).
The prestigious international competition is open to steel mills, metal service centres, ports and companies that work within the metal industry such as CareGo. The winner will be announced June 9 in New York City.
CareGo’s award application described its patent-pending disruptive TELIA technology that allows more steel to be stored in the same amount of space, speeds up loading and unloading, increases employee productivity while creating a safer workplace, and virtually eliminates the risk of product damage.
It’s an honour to be chosen again and we’re very pleased,” says president and CEO Demetrius Tsafaridis. “Our optimization and automation tools revolutionize the way steel coil, pipe and tube are handled and we welcome this opportunity to share our story.”
The award competition is judged by senior executives in the global steel industry. American Metal Markets is an industry magazine, daily news web site and metals conference provider based in New York City.
