Invitations were sent last week for the 15th Annual CareGo Company Golf Tournament for Charity, set for Friday, June 20, 2014 at Century Pines Golf Club in Flamborough.
President and CEO Demetrius Tsafaridis says 2014 is also the 15th anniversary of the company, coming at an exciting time of growth and expansion into new markets, and the redevelopment of the logistics hub known as “Plant 6” at 400 Longwood Road South.
“There‘s a lot of positive change going on at CareGo, but one thing that hasn’t changed is our commitment to support the local community,” Tsafaridis said.
The company covers the cost of the tournament, so all golf registrations, sponsorships and other donations go directly to the Robert Land Community Association, which provides programs and services that help to improve the quality of life and social wellbeing for north Hamilton residents. Tsafaridis served as a volunteer board member, and board chair, of the Robert Land Community Association for several years.
In 2013 the CareGo golf tournament raised more than $17,000 for the association. “It’s a day of fun and friendly competition for a good cause,” Tsafaridis says. “We look forward to seeing our staff members, customers and business associates on the links again this year.”
