A specialist, not a generalist.
CareGo has spent its entire history focused on one industry. That focus means we start with production requirements, not equipment, and measure results in tons, turns, and capacity rather than features.
Before selling software, CareGo operated its own storage, transloading, and transportation businesses. Every part of the technology was first used to solve a problem we were living with ourselves.
For more than 20 years, no customer has switched off an installed CareGo system. Operations that adopted the technology decades ago are still running on it today.

1980sInside the steel industry
Demetrius Tsafaridis spends more than a decade at Dofasco, working across a variety of roles and building deep, first hand knowledge of how steel is made, stored and moved.
1990sA different approach to warehousing
He co-founded Thompson Storage after recognizing that steel warehousing could work differently, more closely aligned with the realities of production.
2000SteelCare, RailCare, TransCare
SteelCare launched with 150,000 square feet dedicated to steel storage and transloading. RailCare supported railcar maintenance, while TransCare operated a fleet of 18 semi-trucks and 54 steel-hauling trailers.
2003Plant 19
A next-generation facility designed to store more product in less space, reduce human exposure to moving material, and improve safety and efficiency. Plant 19 achieved a LEED Gold certification.
2009One company, one invention
TransCare, RailCare, and SteelCare were consolidated under CareGo, creating one integrated company. CareGo also invented a cradle designed specifically to support and safely handle steel coils.
2013TELIA emerges from operations
TELIA was developed from real operating experience, not in a lab, and demand soon grew beyond CareGo's own facilities.
2015Fully focused on technology
The distribution business was sold so the company could focus entirely on technology. TELIA 2 launched with support for long products, cassettes, and more varied operating environments.
2018More than a dozen facilities
TELIA was integrated into more than a dozen facilities across multiple countries, while dual-crane flight paths expanded the technology's capabilities.
2020TELIA 3 and TELIA Handheld
TELIA 3 launched with more than 50 new enhancements, while TELIA Handheld put the system directly in operators' hands.
2021North America's first coil-magnet lift
CareGo integrated North America's first coil-magnet lift into live production, demonstrating the technology in real operating conditions.
2022Five patents
CareGo holds five patents, with more pending, each one developed to solve a problem on the production floor.

Community
The Eva Rothwell Centre, Hamilton, Ontario.
A longstanding relationship with a community centre a few minutes from where the company started.
We have always looked to make positive change in our industry and outside of it. One cause close to us is the Eva Rothwell Centre in Hamilton, Ontario, which helps families get the resources they need to become self-sufficient. Our involvement centres on education and health for the children and families who count on the centre's support.
We restored an old train's dining car and turned it into a reading sanctuary where children can learn about the world around them. Alongside the train we revamped a Piper airplane, so they can find out what it takes to become a pilot in a place they can walk into.
Impact story
Through this relationship we have helped more than 50 children reach the collegiate level and given them the chance to pursue what they want to do. We keep hosting fundraisers, food drives and clothing drives, and we intend to keep empowering the next generation in our community for years to come.
Community
CareGo Charity Golf Tournament.
Each year, we bring partners, customers, and friends together for a day on the course in support of the communities where we live and work.
The 23rd annual CareGo Charity Golf Tournament was held at King's Forest Golf Club in Hamilton, Ontario. Players took part in an 18-hole scramble, followed by a barbecue lunch, plated dinner, raffle, and awards ceremony.
The tournament raises funds for the Eva Rothwell Centre and Pendo International Projects, supporting early childhood education for children and families in Hamilton's north end and in low-income communities in Kenya.
